Free Boat Show Tickets
Unlike previous years, this year the MBIA has given us a limited amount of boat show tickets. Bring your signed contract in with payment to get 4 free tickets to the boat show!
Those of you who have already signed a contract and made a payment are welcome to stop in for free tickets as well!
Ticket availability is very limited. First come first served.

Our receptionist Carrie Fines just had a beautiful baby boy named Logan James!

A healthy 6 lbs. 9 oz. and 21 inches long at birth. Carrie will be returning to Kean's as a new mom soon! Be sure to drop in the office and give her a warm congratulations.
Club Kean Membership
Club Kean memberships are now available for 2011. This membership will allow you to utilize the bar upstairs, as well as rent out the banquet room. The cost is $100 per family for the year.

Kean's is the perfect place to host business meetings, formal dinners, and small weddings. The view of the river is beautiful and the caterers we work with are ourstanding. We can plan an event for every occasion. Call the office for more information or to set up a viewing of the room.

Marina Projects
This winter our staff has been busy polishing the marina and making improvements that all of you will appreciate. We will concentrate our resources on new concrete for the docks and beautification projects.
The laundry room and the bath houses have been made brighter and more functional by installing new ceilings, lighting, and paper products.
Come spring we will plant native Michigan flowers in the parks and continue to be the best marina in the area.
Boating Skills and Seamanship Classes
Kean's Marina is hosting a 4 week long boating course recommended for new as well as seasoned captains, first mates, and crew. Students will be required to pass a final exam to obtain a course completion certificate.
The cost of the course is $30 which covers books, charts, and materials.
The course will be held at Kean's on 2/19/11, 2/26/11, 3/12/11, and 3/19/11.
Registration begins at 8:30 AM on February 19th, but all other classes will run from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM each week.
The minimum age for attendees is 12 years old.

Gold Cup

Transient Reservation Procedures
We know many of you are eager to schedule your transient reservations for the Gold Cup and we are eager to take them.
In an attempt to be as accommodating and fair as possible we have the following guidelines...
1. We will begin accepting reservations on February 1, 2011 instead of January 15.
2. We will only accept a reservation of 20 boats per group. We may accept additional reservations on a lottery system later if wells are available.
3. All reservations must be for a minimum of 2 nights at $2.50 per linear ft. per night. Any additional nights will be at the normal $1.50 per linear ft. rate.
4. A deposit of $100 per boat will be due to Kean's by March 1st, 2011 to hold the well. After April 1, 2011 these deposits will no longer be refundable.
5. Lastly, we will do our best to avoid it but rafting may be necessary. If we must raft we will always keep it within the group and will work with the group to assign the spots. Any boat that has to raft will only be charged $1.50 per lin. ft. per night.
